Help please. I have a new Apple300CDRom drive which works well with my Amax but I cannot get it to mount on the Amiga side. I have downloaded the PD program on CIS Asim…whatever and read and read the instructions and tried everything I know. It keeps telling me it cannot open the file cd0. Can anyone help to advise me? I have WB2.1. Have put the handler in the l directory etc. The instructions regarding the mountlist are a bit unclear for someone like me who never wrote one. Can anyone lead me through the steps? Thanks.

I couldn't get it to work with my Toshiba 3401 either. Buy a commercial one, like ASIM CDFS 2.0 (I have this and it works great) or Xetec's. Dale

Does this have an audio CD player with it that works?

>>>the PD program on CIS Asim.. What library is that please? I had some idea ASIM as commercial. Would like to try it.

Tom, I think the file AMICD.LHA in library 9 was meant. "You do trust me, don't you? Of course you do." — "To Play the King" (BBC)

That sounds better. I use that now, version 1.9, and it does work fine. Tom Oklahoma City, OK USA jonest@hfsi.com

Tom, Asim is commercial software !!! It's easy to install. Works like a dream on my A2000 with Toshiba 4101 CDROM drive. — Ernest Otte

That is what I thought. I use the PD CDrom driver now and have a deal going to get Xetec drivers soon for my Toshiba. Incidentally, the CDrom driver in library 9 does now support the Toshiba 4101. Tom Oklahoma City, OK USA jonest@hfsi.com

I was wrong about the name. It is Amicd.lha (I think it is lha) found in the disk utilities section of the amigauser forum. Actually I did finally get it to work sort-of, but it did not play the audio which is now my primary disappointment. So far I only have mac cdrom disks to play with but I can read them etc.

OK, I found that one too. I use it presently to patch a CDrom to Amigados for BBS files. About to load and start using Xetec CDx drivers, let you know how that goes. Tom Oklahoma City, OK USA jonest@hfsi.com
