Creating Color Palette

We have 3DS version 2 and the reference manual has a section were it talks about creating a custom color palette. In summary it says you should load the flic into Animator Pro and access the palette menu and save the palette and then use it in 3DS. We have version 1.3 of Animator Pro and I don't see anyway to save a color palette. What am I missing? Thanks – HJ [Using OS/2 and Golden Commpass 2.1 – Wichita, KS]

Animator Pro is a animation package. It comes with a distributable player (which is here on CompuServe as well). You can't extract a palette with just the player, I'm afraid, but if you'd like, send me the file and I will send you back a palette (.COL) file. you have to go into the pallette menu to do this. move the mouse over the pallette on the main menu (not your small set of colors, but the color band below it. Sorry about the less specific labels, but I can't remember exactly what they are called), and right click. This will bring you into the pallette menus. At the top of the screen will be three menu options, one of which is pallette. click on that and choose Files…, the save. that will save a color pallette with the extension .col.
