I'm trying to write a script for term. What I want to do is tell term to dial a number then from within the script check to see if termm is online ,or if it hangs up store the result code and write it to a file. My overall aim is to create a script that will dial all the numbers in a BBs list to see if they are still valid. Thus the script would dial the numbers if it got a connect hangup and write the details to a file if it got a voice also write the details, all with the appropriate result codes. Then i could list the script and ring all the voice code ones to see if a BBs operates at that number any more. Ok thats what I'm trying to do ,my problem is this when I tell Term to dial a number eg Dial 1111-22333 Term waits for the script to end before dialing. eg if I want to output something to the screen further down the script like Hello Mark Term does this first. The script doesn't seem to be running at the same time as Term is dialing. My other problem is I can't work out how to store the Modem result codes eg Busy, Voice, Connect etc. Sorry this is a bit long winded, but any help would be much appreciated.
