CompuServe Magazine is considering an article about the user benefits of registering shareware programs, particularly the extra programs, utilities or features registered users sometimes receive. If you're a shareware user who has recently received/made use of such "bonusware" or an author who offers it, please REPly to this message or by email to 70003,5571 with a few details. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Autopilot is one very good example of shareware that is supplied free. Very functional in it's 'free' form, but it has so many functions that you want to use you just have to do the shareware reg to get all the other features. Really well done shareware release, so that you have a very good program for free, but you can see all those options you can't use…a nice comprimise, no hassling every time you run it, just shadowed options that you know are in the code, you just can't get to 'em unless you register. Very well worth the cost for the added features. Robb

Chris, add my vote for AutoPilot. "You do trust me, don't you? Of course you do." — "To Play the King" (BBC)
