Thanks for the good info. I thought the RAD was okay, and I'm glad to have
found out before I started winging. I will give that SD0: a shot. I can't get
any memory now (too bad I can't use my 1×9 Simms from my PC), so I need to do
something to make this memory work.
On my clock: I took the case off and found the clock (from DKB) wasn't firmly
seated. I thought that all my troubles were done. When I booted up today, I
found that the month-day was correct, the year is off by 20 (like it has
always), and the time was when I shut down last night. Any ideas? I really
hate getting beat by a collection of silicon.

Try forcing another RESET with the SetClock command, or perhaps removing
the battery completey so the clock is forced into its default settings.
If the clock isn't bad, or scrambled, and the battery is ok, then
something is crashing the clock…
Perhaps the the OS is finding files that were saved with the future date,
and is getting confused. I believe the system checks the date of certain
files when it can't find the clock. This allows the system to default to
a more current date than the Amiga's inception date.
Check the libaries for a "touch" utility, that can update the "last
saved/changed" date of all the files. If you can get all the files to a
current date,

Just pulled the battery before I called, checked it with a multi-meter, and LO!
it was 0.5 volts! It is supposed to be 3 volts, and this is only after 3
months!?! Gawd, think I'll run back to San Diego (from Richmond VA) and talk
to the dealer about this! I just can't get over this.

Nope, sorry, it would be nice tho<g>. I have changed most of the system
files to different dates and times, but they say the same time as when my
Amy was born (Mar 18, 1993 @ 12:50 pm – wieghing 11 lbs 8 oz but she has
grown up fast<g>)

How about the date-/time stamp of the TIME Pref file, itself?
Something, caused me to believe my A1200 system noticed a more recent
date than the one in the clock. Oh well, I have a clock now and
don't worry about the time that much.

That's what I'm refering to. When I power up I have to set my system
time, and I use the Time prefs, and I have never (and I mean never) had
the time different other than Mar 18, 1993 @ 12:50 pm. A date which will
always have significance to me<g> (not that I could ever forget it now)..
