#Viewing Imagine Pictures
4 messages in this thread
Can anyone help me with the conversion of Imagine 2 pictures after they have
been rendered. I need to convert them into normal IFF pictures so I can load
them into DPaint. This problem also applies to animations. Imagine usually puts
the rendered pictures into 2 files none of which will load as IFF`s.
Could someone tell me how to convert them so they can be loaded as IFF pictures
and animations
Thanks.

Buy ADPRO from ASDG and it will load Imagine images and you can convert
them to anything you like

Dear Richard,
Take a look at the Sub-project panel when you prepare to render a new
project or by clicking on the modify button for an existing project,
there are a few gadgets there that will allow you to select between
rendering in either RGB, Separate R G B,IFF,IFF24,DCTV,and
Firecracker formats as I recall. Once IFF is chosen it is simple to
load the images into DPaint. I haven't tried an animation yet but I
expect it will work. While you're in the Sub-project panel check out
the "Presets" button, for quick set up of image parameters. No matter
how long the manual is don't give up hope. Kapryan Kennedy
Michael,
you can use conversion software to transform your current frames into standard
IFF format, but for any future projects, simply pick the right format in the
Project editor's "Modify subproject" screen. Stills default to Impulse's own
RGB8 format; to create standard Amiga IFFs, click on "ILBM-12bit" and select
the appropriate graphic mode. (AA chipset, HAM, register-based i.e. hi- or
lo-res, and whether the image should be interlaced or not) For example, to
create 16-color hi-res images, your subproject would probably specify these
parameters:
width = 640
height = 400
X aspect = 6
Y aspect = 7
stills file format = ILBM-12bit
amiga viewmodes = hi-res + interlaced
The first 4 parameters will be set automatically if you select the hi-res
preset.
