#.FLC to .AVI conversion?

Hi,
I have an urgent need to produce a short animation in a .AVI format. I
actually
have some .flc's that I could use and I was wondering if there was any
utilities
that would handle the conversion. I'd never even heard of a .AVI until this
morning! (and they want it this afternoon!!) so any help you could offer would
be
greatly appreciated!

Excuse me for butting in…but, while you are on the subject of file
conversions let me ask somebody this….does anyone know of any program that
will convert a series of sequential .tga's into a Apple Quicktime
format…yeah, yeah I know mixing Apples and oranges ( I mean PC's ), what's
the world coming to….actually we have an Imix Videocube for editing and 4
pc's in our graphics room…it would be great to use the power of our networked
3D Studio machines for animation and then send the .tga's over the network ,
directly into the VideoCube never going to tape until dubs….any takers?

I'm not sure if the AudioVisual Recorder will do this. You might want to call
InSync.

There is a great program on the mac called DeBabelizer that will (among lots of
other things) convert a series of TGAs to Quicktime in your choice of 24/16/8
bits. You can also set it up to do batch manipulations of your files such as
rescale, rotate, adjust, translate. It will also create a user defined catalog
of files complete with file names and save the catalogs to a series of files.
It is marketed by Equilibrium out of Sausolito 415.332.4343.
If you need to convert on the PC side, I don't know.

I just checked and DeBabelizer can read (and presumably write) FLI/FLC files.
Tim, thanks a bunch for the lead on "DeBabelizer", it sounds like it just might
be what i've been looking for (other than the perfect woman that is)….I'll
