If you have Danny Goodman's book, "The Complete AppleScript Reference
Handbook," you can get an update disk for $4.75 from Random House. Current
copies have a sheet inserted into it giving you instructions on how to get it.
If you already have the book (well, OK, theoretically you can get it even if
you don't have the book … but get the book anyhow, Danny deserves the money
🙂 ), you can follow Danny's instructions in another message (thanks, DG … I
didn't have the info handy): "Call Random House at 800-733-3000, and order the
AppleScript Handbook update disk, ISBN number 0-679-75537-3."
MacWarehouse's latest catalog also has an item, "Apple Script," for $149. I
don't know if this is the Scripting Kit from Apple (one step up from their
"runtime" and one step below their "developer's kit"), but you could Email
MacWAREHOUSE 70007,1616 and find out.
