#A1000 Networking
5 messages in this thread
This may be a bit of a strange request, but…. Does anyone know of
a network card available (new or second hand) for the A1000? With
the new Ami, I still can't bring myself to part with my old A1000…
so why not network them (preferably a peer2peer). Any help?
Start by making sure the A1000 has a meg or more of RAM, and get kickstart
2.04+ onto it. Then:
AmigaLink (floppy port networking). With Envoy software.
Look for an announcement on US availability from IAM soon…
Also, you could use something like a slingshot and a Zorro-II card, or you
could use ParNet.

Thanks for the help. Got 2.5 Meg already… just need the KS2.0.
Where can I get some info on AmigaLink… Is it Peer-2-Peer, etc…. My
A1000 lacks an HD, so I figured I'd let it leech of my A1200.
AmigaLink is networking hardware with a SANA-II device. Use it with
Envoy software. If you haven't already seen my Envoy announcement,
you may be able to download it, or let me know…
Chris,
The cheapest solution would be to use Parnet.
