I picked up a Zenith ZCM-1492 Color Monitor with an IBM compattible system recently. It is VGA compatible and supports an analog RGB color signal and a 31.49 kHz horizontal scan and requires a 60 – 70 Hz vertical scan refresh rate. The video connector is a 15 pin D-type male connector with no connection on pins 9, 12 and 15. Can I use this monitor with my Amiga 500 and, if so, what kind of adapter or connector is required? Any information related to this subject would be appreciated. jf – lamplight productions sailing on autopilot~~~~~~

Jeff, Those are wonderful monitors. I yearned for one of them a few years ago. But you will need something like the FlickerFixer. Since you have a 500, you will have to get the kind that goes under your Denise chip, and I cannot recall the name of it at the moment. The one I have requires a video slot, which you don't have. It's possible that you will also need a special cable, but you won't know that until you try it. —Betty
