I just wanted everyone to know about my success story with the vertical banding file here in the libraries for Hardware. I have a 1200 and the vertical banding has been annoying me ever since I upgraded from my 500 with a FFV. I downloaded the file which is as simple as making two solder points with a resistor. VERY EASY! For those of you who are not technical, here is what you need… 100 Ohm Resistor 1/2 watt 5% Tolerance (or less) It is Radio Shack part #271-012 and costs a mere $.39 for two of them. This project took me about 5 minutes and has cured a problem that has long been tormenting me! Jonathan Schmidt – On AutoPilot from CompuServe Land

Jonathan: Glad the vertical banding fix worked out for you. I do upload something useful once in awhile, despite the censorship of a particular Sysop <g>. Anyway, I noticed that Genie has the fix posted up their as well so the information is available on most of the nets by now. // John (Speeding on the Information Superhighway) \X/ Mercury@ins.infonet.net
