Does anyone out here know of any body, group, organization, institution, etc. that provides 3D Studio training….a place where I can send my art director for hands on training…..years ago Crystal Graphics provided "Camp Topas", a 2-3 day course….does anything like this exist in the 3DS world? any help is greatly appreciated…..Craig Meadows

You will probably get a number of responses here from all parts of the world. If you happen to find the Philadelphia area plausible then try contacting Synergis Technologies in Blue Bell, Pa.

We have a training session coming up next month in Boston. It starts Apr 23 and runs for four Saturdays. Wentworth Institute is an authorized Autodesk Multimedia Training Center. Custom training is also available. Call 617.442.9010 x 296 or x 376 and ask for Tamar or Matt.

Stephen: We do all our classes custom, not as fixed sessions. We work out with you in advance what aspects of the program you would like to study, and work out a schedule accordingly. Greg Pyros

Craig, Your dealer would be a good place to start. Where are you located? At least around here, (Green Bay, WI) the Fox Valley Technical college offers a couple of courses as well as the dealer I work for. I wrote the training manuals and think it a rather nice course (though I am somewhat biased). Also, Autodesk University would be a good one – though I'm not sure when the next one would be held.

Craig, Two years ago I attended a 3 day 3D studio workshop at Moraine Valley Community College (Palos Hills, IL – a Chicago suburb) I come from a graphic design background, and I thought the workshop was great. The phone number there is (708) 974-5735. Gina Minor Allen

Gina, Thank you for the kind words about our program at Moraine Valley <G>. The best number for someone to call regarding classes at Moraine Valley is: 708-974-5409. That is the number for Don McIntyre who is the program coordinator. Also, Craig or anyone else can get information on the nearest Autodesk Training Center by calling the Autodesk Education Department at: 800-445-5415 Thanks Again, Steven

Hi! I teach a class for UCLA. The last two sessions were over the weekend, but in May we are having one M-F I think. The people to contact are UCLA DEPARTMENT OF ENTERTAINMENT & PERFORMING ARTS, ask for Charles Swartz (or Melinda his secretary). The main phone number for UCLA is (310) 825-4321. They can tell you if there is space open. There is also an advanced class (also 40 hours) too. N.

Craig, Call 800-445-5415, this is the Autodesk Information Line and they can tell you the location of the nearest Autodesk Training Center that handles 3D Studio training. Steven
