Hey Charles,
Remember me? I bought a 2620 board, bridgeboard, harddrive etc. from you a
while back. Everything works great and I eventually got my old A2000 back
from Chuck. The accelerator slot is still dead in the old machine, so I
gave it to my brother. Everything works fine in the other A2000 I wound up
getting for myself. Thanks again for such a great deal.
What I'm interested in is a post you left here more than a year ago
regarding a program called KICKBOOT. Can you tell me more about it? I'm
upgrading to 2.04 in a few days and was planning on getting one of the rom
switcher boards. I wasn't going to keep the 1.3 OS on my harddrive, but
planded to make a 1.3 boot floppy to use on the few occasions I needed to
run under 1.3, mostly for a few games.
What I'd really like to know is, does KICKBOOT work well enough so that I
won't need a ROM switcher board? My family does have a few favorite games
that only boot under 68000 mode too. Would KICKBOOT work under THOSE
(68000) circumstances?
Thanks,
Roger
