Hi! I'm looking for the software that came with the Progressive Peripherals 2000 accelerator boards. I've installed more memory in mine, and my system won't recognize it. Specifically, I'm looking for a program called INIT040. I did not get any system software when I bought this unit used. Please drop me a line as to where I can get it or download it. Please????? Thanks Evan

Evan, If its the original Progressive 040 you might have to change some jumpers, also you can't mix 1-meg and 4-meg simms. Give me a little more info and maybe I can be of some help. What model accelerator, how many simms/ what size Mark Cretcher

Just a note. INIT040 will not work with 3.1WB and the new 68040.library version 37.30. You need the old PP&I ADDMEM plus download ADDMEM 3.01 and fastvbr to set up the PP&I board with the new libs.

Hi again! Thanks to everyone who responded. Here is some more info on my problem board. It is a Progressive Peripherals 2000-040 RevC Accelerator. It is running in an Amiga 2000. I just installed 4 4X8 SIMMS in what is marked as "Bank 0" on the board. (I replaced the existing memory in these slots). I tried initial jumper settings of A2 present, B3 absent and got about 2mb of memory to be recognized. When I removed A2, it went up to 8mb. At this pin config, it is oh so slow. I am running Kickstart ver 37.175 and WB ver 37.67. I will probably upgrade when Toaster 4.0 ships. Where do I go from here. I bought this used machine as a backup and a second render machine in support of my 4000, and right now it is as usefull as an electronic doorstop. Thanks for your help in advance Evan

2megs of memory most be autoconfig ram. The rest is mapped the same as a A4000. Rest of the memory is none DMA 32bit ram and must be setup with with PP&I ADDMEM or the PD ADDMEM 3.01. It's best to use the new 68040.library ver. 37.30. I have the same board and I am useing the PD ADDMEM to setup the memory. The jumper setings for your setup are A2 A4 B1 C2 C4.

Hi! My board is a Progressive Perph. 2000-040 REV C running in an amiga 2000. I have tried to run with jumper a2 present, but get about 2mb of memory to be recognised. With a2 absent, 8mb is there, but the performance is crappy. I installed 4 4X8 simms in what is marked "Bank 0" on the board. (I replaced the existing SIMMS). My kickstart ver is 37.175, WB 37.67. I'll probably upgrade when Toaster 4.0 ships. Thanks Evan
