Hi All, I have a Toaster 2000 in a A2000 with an 040. I think that I am having a chromFX problem. I use the Toaster primarily for lightwave. The problem I am having is that when displaying the image as rendered in lightwave I get a large horizontal band covering the bottom two thirds of the image. The band is definatly a chromeffect but I am unable to determine why it is there. I do not use the ChromFX program but I know that it is a chroma effect because I can get it to roll on the dv or on live video by playing with the chromafx interface. It will also show up on any video that is coming in from channel 1, Although I am able to clear it by selecting channel 1 on the superimpose bus. If I turn the superimpose bus off it comes back. Or if I select either DV1 or 2 it will also be there. I am at a total loss on this one. It just started and I cant get rid of it. Any help would be greatly appreaciated! Rick

Rick, You have a problem. Either your hardware or software is broken slightly. You have also discovered how we come up with such cool effects: something breaks, it looks good, we call it a feature. If it's a hardware problem, a good wiggling and reseating might help out somewhat. Have you made any system changes recently? An AutoHue wouldn't hurt any at this point. Bruce

Bruce, I have done botht the wiggling the resetting and dthe autohue numerous times. I do think that it is a software problem though. I guess my next step is to reinstall the software and try again. I cant imagine that it is hardware when in some modes I can get rid of it. Thanks for the reply! Rick
