I have an Amiga 2500 with the A2091 controller/40 meg Quantum
disk. I would like to know if anyone knows of a program or how to
write one that would put the heads in park position and turn power
off to the hard disk.

Unless your hard disk was manufactured in, say, the early 80s, you don't need a
program to park heads. All newer hard drives automatically park their heads on
power down. You may wish to check the year of manufacture and ask around to
see when this rule was made standard. But, I do know if it was made in this
decade, parking is not necessary.
