Hello Richard again, With some more experimentation, I was able to figure out a few more things about the Gradient Designer, such as how to use the GRD files in the materials editor. A little more detail on problems I had with your demo version… ——– Choosing the following .GRDs result in the missing files: FADE.GRD: missing KAI.JPG ANIMGLOW.GRD: missing MOTN0000.TGA COMET1.GRD: missing CALIFD.JPG VIDEO.GRD: missing CALIFD.JPG As it is, the only effect which I could try out is the "Copper Penny 1Layer." Are COMET2 & COMET3 associated with COMET1 or can I use them somehow? How can I get the missing bitmaps? ——– I had a problem in the 3DS Materials Editor. (Keeping in mind that with no docs I may be doing something wrong here…) When I load any of the sample .GRDs (with the exception of the "Copper Penny") in the Texture 1 slot of a material, then attempt to render a sample sphere multiple times, the Materials Editor screen is trashed. Horizontal olored bars overwrite portions and eventually the entire top portion of the screen is garbled. ——– One comment on your .GRD file selection menu: If I click to bring up the file list (Fade to Black, Copper Penny, etc), then release the mouse WITHOUT selecting a .GRD but still within the window, I get the first one on the list anyway. Moving the mouse outside the window before releasing does cancel, but it seems that releasing without selecting should also cancel. (No big problem.) ——– I was able to play with some of the animation controls by loading a preset, ignoring the missing file message, and loading some arbitrary background images on the frames that were expecting the missing images. How do I create an animated sequence without going thru this? It appears that a .GRD file like COPPER.GRD is a bitmap file with specific resolution. Do you choose the desired resolution when saving the file (disabled, of course), or how? I notice your preview window has some preset options for common video resolutions, such as 752×480, 512×486, etc. Is there any way to get the preview do display on a video framebuffer (i.e., the selected render device) such as the ATVISTA, instead of the computer screen? What is the price of this program? (I thought I saw it earlier, but can't find it now.) Who is selling it? Sorry for so many questions, but this program looks useful and I'd really like to see what it will do. If there is a file here in the LIBs that explains more please let me know what it is. Is there any way to get a copy of the manual? JKJ
