!!! WARNING !!!

It was recently reported that there is some joker going around in various
forum's COs and in CB with the handle of "CIS Security" and trying to get
people to tell him their passwords. His ppn has been locked off the system
but he was successful in getting a few passwords so he may still be trying
to pull the same stunt. TELL NO ONE YOUR PASSWORD. I don't care who they
say they are. Even if you were to call CIS customer service and tell them
you forgot your password, they have no way of 'looking it up' — it must be
regenerated then mailed to you. No one but you have any reason to know
your password.
Another con that is tried is in CO — you might get a line that starts with
a 'beep' and a message that says something like:
"System congestion — PASSWORD: ? "
DO NOT ANSWER THIS. There is one time, and one time only that you will be
prompted for your password — that is when you initially log on to CIS.
If you see someone anywhere online trying to get you to tell them your
password get their ppn and report it any CIS sysop and/or to FEEDBACK.
As an additional precaution, it is recommended that you change your
password at least once a month.
Please — do be aware.
