Left a message this passed weekend, but it looks as if it got lost. Downloaded UED26H.LZH and tried to run it under 2.04. It Fails. Then I realized this is not a new release. Had tried it before X-mas, after I had put on WB2. Why was just post?? Allan Baer ( Be part of the solution, not part of the problem. )

Except for a couple of Enforcer hits, UED26H runs fine on my machine under 2.0. The archive date on the files is 01-08-92.

What are Enforcer hits? This release work on my 2000 under 1.3. After upgrading I reformatted, now I'm getting Program failed error #80000003 wait for disk activity to finish. Allan Baer ( Be part of the solution, not part of the problem. )

Enforcer is a developer's tool. A "hit" means that Enforcer is reporting an illegal memory read/write. In the case of UE(whatever) when you click on the credits requester to get it to go away it generates a hit. Other than that, tho, I played with the program for 10 minutes or so on my 3000 with no other problems.

Allan, I use UEdit every day on things from my original 1000 to the 3000 at work, I haven't noticed any problems. I'd never tried clicking on the credits requester before (just did…no 'hits'), but I'm a registered user, and have the registered copy.

I just downloaded a version of UEdit (version 2.6H I think) that does'nt seem to run at all on my machine. The D/L seemed to go OK, along with the LHARC. When I follow directions, I don't seem to get anywhere. The document I call up is not visible, and the text that is visible looks re really messed up. Maybe someone can help me. Thanks in advance. Mark.

FYI – All users having trouble getting UES v2.6h to run under AmigaDOS 2.04. I contacted the author, Rick Stiles, today and mentioned the problem. It is the first that he has heard of it and he seemed quite baffled. I confirmed that my version of UES (v2.6h) also crashes although my registered version UE 2.6h does not. Query for the Guru's. Rick is running an A3000, bootable 1.3 or 2.04. He does not experience the guru. I, running an A2000HD, do. What are some valid reasons that might cause the problem? Are there some real standout reasons? – Nelson… – via Whap!

Allan, UED26H.LZH seems to be the only version of UEDit we have on our board at this time. Did you get it from another board earlier? I'm sure that when it was uploaded here, the sysop who was approving the files at the time did not see a copy of that version, so he approved it. About 25 people have downloaded the file, and the others seem to be having no problems with it. I wonder why it is not working for you. Perhaps if you tell us what is giving you trouble, one of the people using this file can help you get it going. Betty
