#AmigaWorld ends 🙁

Ditto.
I too subscribed to both and got screwed up on my AW subscription so let it
lapse. I didn't really feel like I was missing too much, since the magazine had
become little more than ads. I don't mind the ads, but don't feel like I should
be paying so much for them. I'm not really going to miss what AW had become,
but the symbolic nature of the whole thing gets to me.
I like AC too but the missed issue and the one where most of the articles were
by the same author has me a little worried about it. It strikes me as having
been a little more substantive than AW over recent history. My subscription is
about to expire and I'm almost afraid to renew since a few mags have folded
immediately after I do.
The demise of so many fine Amiga mags is indeed a sad thing. I remember back
when I was getting ready to give up my CPM machine for an SE20, it was the
presence of mags like Amiga Resource, AW and AC on the newstands that made me
aware of an alternative named the Amiga. I read these mags for some time before
even seeing an Amiga and ended up buying the first one I saw. No regrets except
that the rest of the world never knew what a great machine the Amiga is.

I knew I wasn't the only one who had subscription problems with AmigaWorld. I
let my subscription lapse, but I kept buying them at the store. my
subscription to AC ends in June (Was April, until the missed issues) but I will
probably renew it. I'm not ready to give up yet :^) The Amiga has been a part
of half my life. I can't imagine _having_ to go to another platform.

I waited until the last minute and didn't renew my subscription to
AmigaWorld. So today I got the April issue with the special cover stating
"This is your last issue". How appropriate and unfortunate!!

Yeah! I didn't get no stinkin' April issue, and my subscription was to have
run through August.

I just got my April issue today, Dale. You'll probably have yours as I write
this.

"I got mine – did you get yours?"
Nothing earth shattering inside.

Hey! I listened to all the cheerleaders online, and renewed last month! <g>
Personally, I think the Amiga Sentry will make good on that subscription any
day now!

Your not the only one. A friend of mine just renewed his subscription so
now it expires in May of 96 <g>. Amiga Sentry eh? Either that, or Amiga
Format <g>.

Sure enough, Amiga World is no more. My April issue says right on the cover
"This is your last issue of Amiga World"
But I can save 47% if I renew now.
Unfortunately I sent in a renewal check about 3 weeks ago.

Strange, but mine does not say a word about it.

That is because your subscription ran out on the April issue, just like mine
did. UNfortunately, we cannot renew! I sent my check in last month…
