I need help installing my 2nd HD…
I have an A500 with an IVS TrumpCard SCSI controller. The problem is that i
can hookup my MiniScribe 20 meg hd by itself and it works great, but if i hook
it up with my Maxtor 345 meg, the 20 meg says "nodos" and i cannot format
it…It hangs on track 4 or 5. That's if it boots at all. Sometimes it hangs on
bootup.
The 20 meg is unit 2 (nonbootable), the 345 meg is unit 6 (Bootable).
If anyone has ANY idea what the problem might be…Than i will greatly
appreciate your help.

Stephen,
I may be wrong, but try to put your bootable HD on unit 0 and everything else
behind that. The controller itself should remain unit 7.

I will try that, but, do i have to reformat the hd after i change the jumper?
Is there anything i will have to do???

I don't think you will have to reformat the HD. OTOH, never mess with any HD
without having an actual and complete backup around 🙂 .
