Robert,
Are you running DTS in Expert mode? We have had some reported conflicts with
Norton DeskTop and DTS in this situation.
Dean Okna Tech
Dear Dean,
Thank you for the prompt response. I have been away and this repy is
consequently delayed. I am running DTS in windows mode and have not tried
expert mode. Do you have any other suggestions.
Very truly yours,
Bob
Bob,
You can try archiving your notes file and creating a new one, to see if the
file itself is causing the problem. Exit Address Book and go to the Windows
File Manager. In the \desktop directory, rename notes.btr to notes.old. Then
reopen Address Book and try entering a few notes. If everything works
correctly, then your old notes file is corrupted. The bad news is that there's
no way to transfer notes from one file to another, so you would have to reenter
them all. To get your old notes file back, exit Address Book and return to the
Windows File Manager. Rename notes.btr to notes.new, then rename notes.old to
notes.btr. Whichever file is named "notes.btr" is the one the program will
access.

Dear Martine,
Thanks for the reply. I knew you had not forgotten me. I have not checked for
messages in a few days, and was late receiving yours. I will give your
suggestion a try.
Very truly yours,
Bob
