#What's going on?
5 messages in this thread
I posted a message for other users (sent to ALL) here a few days ago in an
attempt to confirm if I was having a problem and it appears that my message has
been deleted?
Could you to explain this?
Tony
Tony – Your message number 68077 is still here, safe and sound.
The forum software maintains a "bookmark" of each session. The next time you
enter the forum you start from your "bookmark". This is only a default however
and if you wish to read messages you've already seen you can change the default
via the "set date" function.
How you do that will vary depending on the software you using but in CIM it's
called "set date". In ascii mode you can change it via the HIGH command.
Thank you Don, for the information.
I checked yesterday and it wasn't listed, setting the date back about two weeks
and last message range from the earliest allowable and it didn't show up.
Oddly enough, today, I just clicked on message search (WinCIM) and typed my
last name and there it was, along with my "What's going on" post.
I don't get it, but thanks for making sure for me. Based on recent events with
OKNA, it's not unusual to see people become a little oversensitive to
"disappearing" messages 😉
Glad it's just paranoia though.
Best,
Tony
Tony – I don't have much experience with WinCIM at all but you might want to GO
WCIMSUPPORT if you'd like to follow up with someone with more knowledge on it's
inner workings.
No Don, I appreciate your help, I finally saw the message, as long as I can use
the forum as it was intended, that's all I care about.
Thanks,
Tony
