I've noticed an inconsistent problem with the Quick Find and Find menu feature.
When I do a search by category, then select one of the records that is shown in
the search, the program does not go to that record. In fact, it occasionally
goes to a record some distance from that one, and unrelated to it. Yesterday,
I noticed that Quick Find didn't work at all. I would type the first few
letters of the name I was looking for, and the letters would appear in the
title bar, but the record pointer didn't move. Is this a bug?

I'm a fellow user and have had the same problem … There are must be some
problems with the links but one quick fix is to pack the database through Disk
Doctor. It helps for a while..
When they get an answer for you, hopefully I'll get it too.

Charlie gave you the right answer. Run File Doctor with all four options
selected.

Tim,
From address book, go to file/utiliteis/file doctor and run this with all four
options checked. This will usually solve your problem.
