I've finally gotten the pager setup for alarms running, but the dialer reports "busy" at the end of the paging call. I think this is how the paging system indicates that the call is finished. Will this tie up my phone line? Also, if I don't have Calendar loaded, but instead use just the "alarms" icon in my startup group, will the program page alarms that have been set that way?

Tim, As long as you don't have the retries set at a rediculous number, you shouldn't have a problem with the line being tied uo. I was able to get alarms to page using Notify when in start up. Dean Okna Tech

I have my retries set at 5, but that's not the problem. The paging service I use sends a busy signal after it has answered and the page transaction has been completed. I'm wondering if the dialer will keep control of the line and send the same page repeatedly when this occurs. Also, so far, I haven't been able to get the program to send pages from the Alarms icon in the startup group if Calendar is not running.

Tim, I was not able to duplicate what you mentioned regarding paging, as my paging service does not give the busy signal to show completed. You may need to experiment to see what happens. Are you using an alpha-numeric pager or a digital one? Dean Okna Tech
