This may be a very simple question from a novice user, but in formatting for printing, the user's manual requires that a tilde be placed before actual text to be inserted onto a file card or label. How does one find the tilde to insert–it does not appear on my keyboard. Thanks.

Sandy, The tilde appears to the left of 1 key on most keyboards(~). Use the ascii code 126 (hold down the alt key and enter the code) if you don't have the character on your keyboard. Dean Okna Tech

Sandy, You need to insert the tilde as an ascii character, refer to your dos manual for more information. I believe that you place the cursor where you want the tilde to appear, hold down the alt key and type the number 126. Dean Okna Tech
