QB- New (BAD) Policy

I have owned QuarterBack ever since 1.0 and I have faithfully upgraded
to each new TRUE upgrade for $$$. I have always recieved FREE bug fixes —
as in QuarterBack v4.0 – v4.3 that fixes the FLOPPY drive freeze when using
AmigaDos v2.04.
Today, I called your office and was told of the $5.00 fee with returning
my original disk for the bug fix — BAD POLICY! You have been telling
Amiga Users here on CI$ NOCHARGE for v4.0 -v4.3!
I inquired about the possibility of giving: my name, my QB serial #, and
a credit card #, to have you ship me a new QB disk for a few dollars more
— NOOP — not good enough for your company.
Suggestion — the company that sells RawCopy offers TRUE upgrades for
$7.00 + original disk or $19.95 without the original disk to registered
users (BTW, I would have paid you $19.95 just for the convenience). Central
Coast offered QB-TOOLS bug fixes via a BBS and no charge to registered
users. Good service sells, bad policy doesn't!

Gary,
Starting January 1, 1992, we have a new policy about the bug fix updates.
We are going to try our best to make these bug fix updates in patch forms
available here on CIS. We do not have all the patches available at this
time. If either the patch is not available, or a person does not have
access to one of the services that makes the patches available, that person
will have the option to send in the original disk and $5 for shipping to
get this update. The update is still free, but the shipping is not.
Upgrades, program changes that require a charge, have not changed in price
and they already include the shipping charge.
