#Vibrant Drivers
5 messages in this thread
I have recieved a card in the mail advertising high resolution vibrant
drivers for animator pro. Do you know what these drivers can do? For example,
can they result in greater than the 256 color limit? Or can they only increase
screen resolution. Do they allow creation of large files of any resolution?
Thanks, Mike

Animator Pro can not save a an animation file with more than 256 colors.
The fli and flc format are restricted to 8 bit only (256 colors).
Also any VESA driver can allow your card to run AP in high res.

Ralph,
Your reply is what I expected.
-Thanks
Mike,
Ralph was correct about the color palette limitations. ProRes for Animator is
protected mode drivers to give you 'direct support' for your particular
graphics adapter at the higher resolutions. VESA is not always available or
well implemented on some cards.

Dave,
Thanks. I understand. By the way, I have Liquid Speed and appreciate
the speed a great deal.
