#aaplay & sound
3 messages in this thread
Hi,
I've noticed that the scripting for the Windows runtime player AAWIN allows
you to tie a sound file to a fli and play both files simultaneously. It would
be great to do the same thing with the DOS runtime player. I know I can do this
with MMPLAY in my Soundblaster software.
I am using a Targa+ and recording to a VCR and I really want to be able script
both animations and sound files. Has anyone ever done this with the DOS version
of AAPLAY?
Thanks
Bruce

Hi Bruce. I use the Targa+ in the same way, and even managed to get the
scriptor to play sound files out to the VCR… but without a high enough
sampling (huge files also), the sound sounds dreadful. i found it much easier
to use the sound as a timer, then use an external sound source (even a tape
deck) to record simulateously with the player when going out to tape. dub
features on the VCR are a godsend too. -dave

AAPLAY from Autodesk does not support sound. Sorry.
