I use WARP on a 486DX2-66 with an ATI Ultra video card and IDE & SCSI drives. I
liked 2.1 & I like WARP but if I don't use it every day it always seems to
require 2 warm reboots to get it running. Also after I'd been running it a
couple of weeks the Launchpad and the WP (6.0a) icpn disappeared! The more I
use the "IBM" machine the more I like my Amiga! I've never had programs
disappear like that. For a real thrill run SCSI with DOS/WINDOZE! FUN?! Tom

I've been using Warp for several months and haven't encountered the problems
you describe. However, I agree. An Amiga it isn't! I have yet to see
anything capture that unique AmigaOS "magic." I sometimes wonder if anything
ever will.

This reminds me of something I've come across on Usenet a few weeks ago. The
conference was FR.AMIGA (amiga in french). I've cut the bothering >header info,
and translated the best I could. Please someone tell me if this could be the
real Jean-Louis Gassee (former Apple France chairman(?), former Apple Inc
vice-president(?), and now ex-Apple).

Hmmm…..this sounds a little intriguing. I've heard that Apple was doing
more work with custom chipsets so it could be possible. The only problem I
see is that if it still uses the Mac OS with co-operative multitasking it
will still be crippled. And right now, their PPC line is still overpriced.
So I'll just wait and see <g>.
