Hello, big system watchers!
(I never said bigger is better!)
From a new, fancy four color mailer from Microsoft for SoftImage|3D : the
announcement that that they now directly import "3D Studio objects, animation,
and textures".
Not listed under exports, for some odd reason… :^)

And Cal State Long Beach is now offering Softimage training in addition
to Wavefront.

As I recall, you can buy 3DS for the price of a few days training at Cal State
— total rip-off ! SGI is also pushing Weynand for overpriced training on stuff
like Cineon. It's like the old school of broadcasting scams, pay thousands of
dollars (usually government assisted loans you later default on) for a week of
training and you still can't get a job.
