Often, this would be the result of something in memory reseting/not
reseting itself. Strip the system to just FILES, BUFFERS, and
HIMEM.SYS. Run 3DS, and then run Windows. Does it work? It should.
Now start putting lines back into your boot files one at a time until
you identify what is causing this behavior.
