#AAPLAY for Windows

If you want FLI/FLCs get a CD-ROM drive! I assume that you have the
Explorer as you have the Windows Player. That CD-ROM is packed with
fantastic animations. Playing it under Windows/M the accompanying music
sounds great.
Who were the composers for the music on the Explorer?
Though I had intended to wait for the bonus disk, your comments about the
Explorer make it sound nearly irresistable.
Is it available from Autodesk directly? Through mail-order? Or is there a
list of dealers available?
(While I'm asking — is there only one release, or is it important to seek
out the most recent version?)
I'm especially glad to hear that there IS music accompanying the FLI'cs. (I
kind of inferred that from the term "multimedia".) It sounds great.
Explorer is sold by Autodesk Retail and should be available at your local
software store. There's only one version, the one currently shipping.
As for direct sales, I'm unsure how (or if) the Retail BU takes orders
directly. Maybe Scott knows?
John
I've yet to find a local software store that carries anything from Autodesk
other than Autocad.
Thanks anyway.
John, Who is selling Explorer retail? Egghead and 800 Software don't know
anything about it.
Mike
The Autodesk Multimedia Explorer is available just about anywhere (Autodesk
Retail Products are in distribution), at Egghead Software, etc. However,
Autodesk Retail Products also take orders @ 800/688-2344 (you'll pay list).

Thank you — I understand from your message that the WORST place to buy
Explorer is from Autodesk (at list price), and that if I seek through
retail and/or mailorder outlets I may someday find it at a better price.
Is that about right?
Also, can you let me know whether there has been more than one version of
Explorer? I'd hate to get an old version.
Thanks again for your help.
Edward,
Correct on all counts. There has been only 1 release of Autodesk
Multimedia Explorer.

Thank you.
