It's really easy!!! If you just want to use the default voice characteristics,
then here's the way:
1. Put the text of what you want spoken in a string variable (say, ToTalk$)
2. Translate the string into phonemes
Phones$ = TRANSLATE$(ToTalk$)
3. Then just ask the Amiga to say it:
SAY Phones$ You can get really fancy and vary the pitch and timbre of
the voice. You will also get more realistic speech if you compose your own
string of phonemes using the international phonetic alphabet (see instructions
at the back of the MS-BASIC manual). However, the above three steps will get
your Amiga talking right away!
