A few days ago, I submitted a short assembly language program (written by Thom Sterling) to DL1 (hardware), which demonstrates how the disk drive stepper motor rate can be set from software. It also exercises one of the Amiga's hardware timers, and incidentally demonstrates that the multitasking system can recover gracefully after interrupts have been disabled for a >>long<< time, unlike what the manuals would lead one to believe.

The program looks like it's fine. I don't do the DLs, though; Wizop George does. He takes a variable length of time to make stuff visible… I'm not sure what the delay is in this case. I'll bother him… ;-} – Bela
