Check out the letters to the editor in this month's Byte for the legal
rational behind Apple's suit. It seems that there is a great deal of legal
precedent and the outcome of such a suit could very well go in Apple's favor.
I agree that this move could be devestating to many, particularly small
startup companies, in the software industry and perhaps legislation is
needed. The current law, however, may not be in our favor.
