Mark – If Scribble! is what you want in a word processor, fine. I glad that Scribble! fits someones needs. In my case, however, it bombed badly. To me a full featured word processor should be easy to use, allow manipulations of all kinds of documents, and allow easy access to the features of the printing device in use. While Scribble! is fairly easy to use for just simple text entry, I would hate to be a professional author trying to write a novel with it. The document I was attempting to load & work on was only about 30 pages of text, and Scribble! gagged badly on it. Imagine a 700 page book. As for the dot commands, they would be a nice way to access infrequently used printer commands, but not for headers, footers, letter quality, type size, etc. I personally don't like to dig out a printer manual every time I type a document. I just want to type it, and print it. Also, if you did beta testing on Scribble!, apparently you never tried to open a new window, 64K, with text in the main window, size the second window to about one third, move it to the left side of the screen, and then try to load a file into that window. Only a portion of the filename requester appears, and in most instances I wasn't able to re-size the window to get at the rest of the requester, or even turn it off. In one case where I was able to re-size the window, the remainder of the requester wasn't there, but what was there wouldn't go away, even when I exited Scribble! back to CLI. A feature?
