Dennis: Set the tablet up the way you want it, and then shell out of AutoCAD and make a copy of the acad.cfg file to something like mentab.cfg. Then, configur the tablet for digitizing and do the same to acad.cfg calling it digtab.cfg. Write a batch file that copies the desired configuration over the acad.cfg file and loads AutoCAD. You will have to exit AutoCAD to reload the acad.cfg file to be safe. I would presume that you can shell out and copy over acad.cfg, then issue a plot command (forcing AutoCAD to re-initialize the digitizer) but I think I've heard that doing this for R11 is a no-no. C#

Craig, Where's the AYA? Why can't a driver be written that will allow us to have our menu configuration intact after doing a CFG *AND* allow us to redefine the active area (screen pointing area) when we do a CAL, and sense which we want based on the F10 toggle? When TABLET is ON we want our CAL and when TABLET is off we want our CFG. Is this an impossible feat of programming? I want it MY WAY!! Dennis

Dennis: I don't think it's the driver that's the issue. When and if AutoCAD doesn't have to reinitialize devices when their configuration changes, then the problem will be solved, I believe. But, I'm only guessing… I don't know alot about packets, digitizer coordinates, and the like. C#

Craig, This irks me. I don't know of anybody on the Forum who might have the expertise to answer this one either. Anybody? Dennis
