Robert – I have the same machine as you (with only 4Mb — 6Mb of NEC memory would send me to the poorhouse!). How to speed up AutoCAD depends on which version you're using. Release 11? 10? 9? AutoCAD 386 or the 640k version? In case it's a 640k version, try putting the program OVLs (not the device OVLs) in your ramdrive rather than temp files. That should speed up ALL activities, not just redraws. For faster redraws, you might investigate one of the software display list programs. If you ARE using AutoCAD 386, you should dump the ram drive altogether. Use a decent memory manager like QEMM, assign all your RAM to expanded, and let AutoCAD decide how to use it. Dave
