#Pioneer drive

I never got their catalog either, and I haven't received the drive yet
(ordered it 3 weeks ago today). Am told it should arrive Wednesday. It's a
long story. First I placed a COD order. The day I was supposed to receive
it, I called them up (by the way it's MURDER tryin to get thru to them), only
to be told that all HD orders are backlogged because they are first filling
out floppy drive orders. So I called back a week later to find out that all
COD orders are on hold because of some problem they're having with UPS, and
they have over $50000 of outstanding shipments. Fine, so I switched the
order to credit card. I called back 3 days later to be told that the order
never got thru since my credit card bank didn't approve (I unknowingly went
over my limit). So, I'll call them tommorrow and see what excuse they'll
have next. They claimed that they tried to reach me everytime the order was
delayed but that cannot be true. So, to make a long story even longer: The
jury is still out on the HD itself, but their customer service sucks!!
– Steve – P.S. I guess the old saying is true: you get what you pay
for: their price for $65Meg HD is pretty good!
Steve,
I know a guy that just got his Pioneer drive. He seems to like it,
but I haven't heard from him recently. I asked him about the DISKPERF times
on it, but he hasn't answered my Email yet.

I just got mine today! It was a breeze to install, and so far so good. The
only thing I don't like about it is the high noise level of the fan. Sounds
like a jet engine. What's DiskPerf? Where can I get it?
