Ray – You don't mention which version of R10 you were using or which
version of R11 you now have installed. You also don't mention any other
changes to the system (like, updating to DOS 5, perhaps).
Assuming that you had R10 DOS, and you have updated to R11 386, the
difference is that AutoCAD 386 is a 32-bit program. The SX uses a 16-bit
system bus; so, every memory fetch must be broken into two parts, cutting
_relative_ performance in half. Our informal benchmarks indicate that an
SX will run at about half the speed of a similar 32-bit system. Still,
performance should be noticably better than R10 DOS. Without knowing more
detail, I can't guess at why the system is slow. You might check with your
dealer; ask them to run ADTEST on the computer.
