#ARP Help!
5 messages in this thread
I just received my TxEd+ upgrade in the mail, but userdocs.arc won't unarc
due to a disk read/write error. Can anyone please give me the syntax for the
"ARUN" arp command (the replacement for runback)?
Thanks, George Glines 74206,2624
George, I just found out that my TxEd+ has a read/write error too. I'll
email you the syntax for ARun. Marlene
Interesting, one of the disks I transferred the new ARP files to has a read/
write error now too! When I saw the TxEd+ disk without a plastic case, I
shouldhave figured there would be trouble. I've had at least 10 disks that
were mailed without the slip cover with errors. Thanks for the reply
George
Not even hard-shelled 3.5" disks are immune to the USPS. Someone mailed me a
disk a while back in a plain envelope and it arrived in unusable condition.
It looked like when it went through the sorting machine the shutter was
pushed open and the sorter put "teeth" marks in the disk. So folks, if
you're mailing disks don't let the hard shell lull you into complacency. You
_still_ have to put them in good cardboard mailers!
George,
Much as I dislike the postal system, I'm afraid they aren't at fault this
time. At least 3 people have also reported a corrupted userdocs file. Looks
like it was bad on the master and carried over in the duplication.
