digitizer

I just bought a Camcorder and I intend to use it to digitize. I tried
many combinations of connecting a coaxial RF cable which was included with
the Camcorder. There is no jack on the camcorder that is labeled video but
there is a jack labeled AV OUT. Is there a certain cable I need to connect
the camcorder with my computer? I hope the two are compatable.
thanksw
Neil, do you have a digitizer already? If so, connect the AV (Audio/Video)
OUT to it. I assume that the Auio signal and the Video signal are both sent
out via the AV OUT. That may be a problem for you. Best way is to try it
and see. Nothing should happen to the digitizer. The worst you'll get is
garbage when you try to digitize.

Thanks, It worked when I connected the video in cable to the digitizer. My
first picture was at night and it did'nt come out to well. Was that due to
the lack of light? The background came out a mixture of green, blue, and red,
but no shades of these colors. I will experiment in the daylight.
Thanbks neil
Neil, I assume you are using DigiView? If so, you need the camera and
subject to be stationary while digitizing all 3 passes. The subject also
needs to be well lit. Also, even though your camera is color, I believe you
still need to use the color wheel.
