According to the press, Apple did buy non-exclusive rights to QuickerDraw (or
QuickerGraf) and it will be included in the new System release (which was
originally scheduled for March). QuickerGraf is useless, though, in any mode
other than 8 bit per pixel mode on a Mac II. I'm convinced that QuickDraw is
long due for a major overhaul, but I'm not (yet) convinced that Display
PostScript is the answer. It _looked_ nice, but a bit slow, in the canned
demo's I've seen, but I've yet to see it run on a released package and I'll
reserve judgement until then. Maybe when the NEXT machine is released…
