#Salaries & Cad

I thought I would seek the advice of the forum on this subject of salaries
and Cad people. We are located in Ontario, Canada, and I have been assigned
to look into salaries for Cad personel. This would include Cad operators, Cad
system managers, Cad designers and so on. If anyone has had experience with
this, could you please advise me on where to obtain figures to work with. I
would appreciate any suggestions as have exhausted my contacts here.

Jim, the salary ranges for CAD people in Ontario cover a fairly braod range
depending on whether you're in the Metro Toronto area (or worse, the Markham
or Missassauga hi-tech zoos), the type of work involved (i.e. actual design,
simple drafting, "crwative drafting", etc.). Feel free to give me a call at

in Florida is a cheap b*s*a*d, but that may be due to the fact that they're
doctors and lawyers. So, who can say what the rates should be. I might be
able to help if you're after Architectural rates. I would also suggest, if
your company will authorize the cost, a search of IQUEST here on CI$. Let me
