Duff, Thanks for your response on the HP LaserJet driver. Our experience in using a printer connected to a Novell network is that AutoCAD is the only program that is resetting the what HP calls it permanent fonts and forms. Mostly output to the printer is AutoCAD and MS Word. However, we do use on occasion, numerous other programs that output to the HP. Resetting does not seem that complex to me, I would compare it to doing a Ctrl-Alt-Del after you have loaded in several TSRs to clear memory. You could leave the default to "Yes", with a note that Network managers might be interest in responding "No" to the reset. In any case, I will leave a note in the wishlist for it to be considered. If or until this happens it seems your suggestion to modify the HP driver is the easiest way out. I was hoping that this question had come up before and that there was an Autodesk sanctioned "patch". However, I suppose we can probably do it ourselves. I will let you know how that turns out. I can see your problem with the 150/300 option interfering with script files that expect a certain series of prompts. However, perhaps you could so something like your Block Insertion Presets for PRPLOT, so that resolution could be set and simply not used if if it does not apply. It seems to me that exiting Autocad and reentering might be some advantage (or maybe not if the network is busy). The GRAND solution, as you suggest, is to have n number of setups available as an option to PLOT/ PRPLOT. A big problem with reconfiguring or exiting AutoCAD to set a different configuration, is the time required to reload a large drawing file. I somehow assumed that PRPLOT had access to extended/expanded memory. I guess to do that you would have to dump its contents to disk so as not to interfere with its drawing file contents. That could potentially be a lot of disk space. However, thanks for that information. In the future I will make sure the max conventional memory is available by removing an TSRs and not use EMS. You did not mention the screen I/O. Do you think it has a
