Rich, There have been many messages back and forth between Richard Rose and myself and several other forum members. I do not want to rehash the discussions, but I would like to comment on your statement, "Other forums neatly catagorize the type of files available in each data library, so you're more likely to find what you want by going directly to the right library." I have certainly attempted to set up the data library categories in a way that would make sense to use. The categories are primarily based on our products. If you have an specific suggestions for a different type of organization, I am willing to consider it. You do have to remember that the data libraries do represent a flat file system – meaning that you can not nest files within a subdirectory. I do agree with you about the file format on the forum, "…there is no single solution to the problem. I'm sure that any particular solution won't satisfy everyone." Again, I stated that I will reupload all the PostScript files as ASCII text files. That should go a long way towards offering machine independent support. As I mentioned earlier, not only is ADOBE (that's me in this case) taking notice, but I have communicated in several messages that something is being done. All new text files that have been uploaded in the last few weeks contain carriage returns and linefeeds so that they can be read online by IBM PC machines as well as Macs. Please locate the thread of the message and read further to catch up on what has been said before making statements that are not correct. I found it annoying (to say the least) to read a message that implied that ADOBE does not respond to users suggestion. The reverse is much closer to the truth. We do value customer input and we do take it into consideration whenever possible. -Esther Kletter
