(and now, the rest of the story) In addition to Autodesk, there will be over 90 independent exhibitors. The extensive line-up of exhibitors is representative of the abundance of third-party applications software and hardware devices developed specifically to complement AutoCAD and other Autodesk products. The vertical applications that these specialized products support range from facilities management, surveying, and automated mapping to numerical control (NC) part programming, engineering analyses, and printed circuit design. Horizontal applications products include database management tools and desktop publishing. The conference program has been extended from three to four full days, with one day devoted entirely to education- related topics. One of the highlights will be the Industry Leaders session on Tuesday, May 3, at 1:00 P.M. Scheduled participants include such distinguished authorities in the computer graphics field as Ed Forrest, Editor of the A-E-C Automation Newsletter; Bruce Jenkins, Vice-President of Daratech, Inc.; and Carl Machover and Dr. Joel Orr, who both head their own independent consulting firms. All conference sessions will be held in the McCormick Center Hotel, across from the exhibition hall. AutoCAD Expo '88 is a truly unique opportunity for design professionals -whether experienced with or new to AutoCAD — to see first-hand why AutoCAD is the choice of over 150,000 CAD users and to determine the benefits of using this and other Autodesk design automation tools in their work environment. This message will also be posted in DL9 in EXPO88.UPD
