Is there a program available which takes AutoCad (V 2.52 -9) and makes full use of a dot matrix printer as a plotting device? I have seen printer-plotter output for the 2.52 on a NEC P-6 using the Epson FX-80 printer plotter emulation and it seems to deliver a 60 x 120 dots/inch output, with a space between adjacemnt lines It does not seem to take into account the potential of the printer and its 24 pins as a plotting device with its 360 x 360 dots/inch capability. I am expecially interested in using a printer such as the Toshiba 421SL with a carbon ribbon to produce output which can be easily copied and the 14 inch width. Occas ionally I have seen ads for what apparently amounts to a Screen Dump driver, but this would not deliver what AC apparently is capable of either. Anyone know of such a program, especially for the Toshiba and their unique requirements?

Joseph- I've used a program called adiPLOT which is advertised in the mags. It improves the FX resolution quite a bit and works from the AutoCAD ADI driver. You basically do a PRPLOT to file and this program does the dump to the printer! Makes some nice plots! >>> John <<<
