#PCDisk

Hi Don! The latest try didn't work. The AWRITE command has 29974 bytes, the
PCDisk has 5000. The run from CLI worked, since when I used STATUS FULL, I saw
2 lines with the Process1; stk 4000, gv etc, one saying STATUS, and one saying
PCDISK. The PATH command I didn't quite understand, but I simply have AWRITE
out in the cold, not in any directory. I checked throughout the directories,
and it was not in any other place. I tried putting it with other MS-DOS
commands, and still no luck. This is weird. I typed in the AWRITE command, and
I got the message "SERVER NOT RUNNING, RUN PCDISK" or whatever. For some
reason, it is not recognizing the PCDISK, or truly it is not working. Any other
ideas!?!? I relly need to transfer some files!
Mike,
Well, we know the server is running, because you saw it there. We know
the Bridge is running, because you can use it. We know things used to work for
you before you moved up to janus 2.0….so the only thing left that I can think
of is you have missed a file or two in the transfer from the Janus disks to
your Amiga.
This may sound ridiculous…but make a completely new WB disk and run
the INSTALL program from the Janus v2.0 disk against that WB disk. Boot the
computer with that disk and see what happens. Unless something has fried on
your system (and that's highly unlikely)…then it should work, it works fine
for me and lots of others.
If that does work, then go back to your normal boot disk and delete
everything to do with Janus and re-install the software. That should take care
of the problem.
If it doesn't work…you're more than welcome to give me a call at home
where I can try to talk you thru tests to see what's going on.
I'll EMail you the phone number.
Don
